This policy covers cookies and other storage or access technologies, including local storage, tracking pixels, tags and similar browser or device technologies.
When consent is required
Unless a legal exception applies, we provide clear information and obtain consent before storing information on, or accessing information from, a visitor’s device. Consent must be a genuine positive choice and must be as easy to withdraw as it was to give.
We do not treat acceptance of general terms, continued browsing or a pre-ticked control as valid consent for non-exempt technologies.
Categories and current UK exceptions
| Category | Purpose | Consent position |
|---|---|---|
| Communication | Solely transmitting a communication over a network. | May use the communication exception. |
| Strictly necessary | Security, login, basket, checkout and functions specifically requested by the user. | Consent is not required where the technology is genuinely necessary for that requested service. |
| Statistical purposes | Solely collecting statistical information to improve the online service. | May be exempt only where the legal conditions are met, including clear information and a simple, free way to object. Otherwise consent is required. |
| Appearance or functionality preferences | Solely adapting appearance or functionality to a user’s preference. | May be exempt only where the legal conditions are met, including clear information and a simple, free way to object. Otherwise consent is required. |
| Marketing, profiling or cross-service tracking | Advertising, remarketing, behavioural profiling or tracking across services. | Prior valid consent is normally required. |
Published cookie and storage inventory

Your choices
Where consent is required, you can accept or reject categories and later change the choice. Where we use the statistical or appearance exception, we must provide a simple and free objection route. Disabling strictly necessary technologies may prevent sign-in, basket or checkout functions.
A dedicated preference-centre link has not been configured in the theme. Unless another visible control is active, optional non-exempt analytics, marketing and embedded-content technologies must remain disabled.
Third-party services
Payment services, maps, video, social media, security tools, analytics or other embedded services may use their own technologies. We should configure privacy-enhancing options and prevent non-exempt technologies from loading before the required choice. The consent platform and inventory should identify the relevant provider, purpose and duration.
Keeping this policy current
We review the inventory when WordPress, WooCommerce, the course booking system, payment providers, security tools, analytics or embedded content change. A live scan is operationally necessary because a written policy cannot detect technologies introduced by a plugin or external script.
