About this course
This project-based course introduces secondary students to advanced 3D design, engineering concepts, and modern digital manufacturing.
Using professional or student-level 3D software, learners create more complex models, explore real-world applications, and develop problem-solving and technical thinking skills.
Each week builds upon the last, culminating in functional designs, engineered prototypes, and a collaborative final project.
Learning Outcomes
- Understand the full 3D printing process and modern applications
- Create detailed 3D models using intermediate design tools
- Apply engineering thinking: measurement, stability, tolerance, and fit
- Prepare and slice models for accurate printing
- Identify and troubleshoot design/print issues
- Collaborate on multi-step projects and communicate their design process
Hands-on learningPractical projects in every session.
